Dear Colleagues
On behalf of the SARAA congress committee and as Convenor of the upcoming biennial South African Rheumatism and Arthritis Association 2011 conference,
it is a pleasure and honor to invite you to attend and participate in the “gathering momentum” conference to be held at Misty Hills Resort from the
8th - 11th September 2011.
Misty Hills is a resort located in Muldersdrift, Gauteng, and offers a wide range of activities from a spa to hiking trails in addition to the conference center and
accommodation. It promises to be an ideal hosting venue for the 22nd South African Rheumatology Society conference.
The ‘Gathering Momentum’ conference will be focusing on connective tissue diseases in addition to rheumatoid arthritis. With the ever expanding
armamentarium of biological agents available for the treatment of Rheumatoid arthritis as well as other rheumatic conditions, it is essential that
rheumatologists are kept informed and up-to-date.
A panel of international speakers, leaders in their respective fields, will be presenting the latest information and guidelines on management and therapy of
Systemic lupus erythematosus, other connective tissue diseases as well as Rheumatoid arthritis. This will be an ideal opportunity to interact with them on a
personal level and gain further insight into the different rheumatic conditions.
